About Us!
Our Team24 Charity Cycling Team began in 2005 as 3 members from a 24Cycle cycling class came up to Roland Hoffman, a 24Cycle instructor, as they expressed interest in riding the MS-150 Bike Tour (MS Bay to Bay - Orange / San Diego Co.) in California. As an 18 year veteran in the MS-150 Bike Tour Series, Roland turned around as mentioned . . . "I have a better idea. Lets form a team together", and "The AH Spinners" representing the spin class group from the 24 Hour Fitness Anaheim Hills club was born. Upon registration, there was another 24 Hour Fitness splinter team lead by Team Captain Andy Inkeles, also a Group X Instructor and an 8 year veteran in the MS-150 Bike Tour event which was coincidently known as the "The HB Spinners" (Huntington Beach 24 Hour Fitness). The combined efforts from these 2 teams raised over $20,000.00 for the Pacific South Coast Chapter of the National MS Society and received notable recognition from the company.
In 2006, the 2 teams merged together and formed "Team 24 Hour Fitness" or better know as the Team24 Charity Cycling Team. It was a very successful year as our Southern Califoria Team of 30 cyclists raised over $50,000.00 for the cause.
In 2007, our team received full support from the corporation. Our team expanded to 3 teams throughout the country with over 130 team members, raising over $117,000.00 in 2007.
Come join our team as we continue to "instill and inspire" over 400,000 people around the country that are fighting for their lives against this devastating disease. After all, we'll do "whatever it takes . . . to make those diagnosed . . . better!"
